06/30/2023 04:23AM Sometimes you get lucky on LLC. The ep 14 loop we took we did the section of LLC from the gebe creek up and around to takucmich. The whole planning processes i was super stressed and borderline obsessed about us getting wind bound on LLC. I made 3 back up routes. We got really lucky that we started early enough because that afternoon the wind did picked up, but while we were paddling it was completely calm. Just make sure you get an early jump that day. |

06/30/2023 12:57AM Ascend H10, I plan to jump islands and stay as close to shore as possible on LLC, if it's fairly windy I have no chance, will be hanging at camp. |

06/29/2023 09:28AM What’s your boat make/model? Just curious. LLC could be dicey in a 10 foot boat. Get on the water early for the best chance to get ahead of waves. That route has a lot of islands you can use to your wind advantage. It’s a beautiful area. Avoid the Oyster River. Take the portage to Agnes. |

06/29/2023 08:03AM I would be rather surprised with the way the weather has been if the lower half of Oyster River will be passable, often by August it is a trickle and chocked then. You will spend a good deal of time pulling your canoe and gear though that windy mess and may not even find the correct exit to Nina Moose. This comes from my experience doing the same thing. |

06/28/2023 11:08PM I have a permit for entry 16 north starting September 24, plan to stay 6 days. I just wanted to check my route with you guys that have been and maybe done it. I will portage to the Moose River to Nina moose lake to Nina moose river to Lake Agnes, then portage to Boulder Bay, then around shortest route to pocket creek to Ge-Be- On-e-Quet Creek to Get-Be-On-E-Quet Lake, then to Green, Rocky and Oyster Lakes. Would like to then go down the Oyster River back to the Moose River and Nina Moose Lake. My main Concerns are water levels on the Get-Be-On-E- Quet Creek and Oyster River in Late September. Also portages don't seem to be terrible but are there any portages that are much worse than they appear. I know it's probably not a good idea I plan to use a one man canoe/kayak hybrid that Weighs 55 pounds. How is Lake Lac La Croix in a 10' long fairly stable but not great in whitecaps. Thanks in advance! |
