02/10/2013 05:22PM Lessons learned: 1. Insulate yourself from the ground. Next time I will have more than my Exped mat and a tarp. 2. A decent wind shell with a fur ruff (it blocks the wind from your face) goes a long way in the winter. 3. Chemical hand warmers can make a big difference on those really cold mornings. 4. I'm still searching for that super warm hat. 5. Wool bibs worked great but they did catch my fleece pants so it was a bit of a struggle with the boots in the morning. |
