Mouse Traps? ;)

Ugh, Mice. Yes, I have woken in the night with a sweet furry little creature sleeping in the middle of my chest. I suppose it was warm an cosey. Scared the crap out of me though. I now use a hammock with a netting to keep little visitors out of my sleeping system. Although I'm aware if one wanted in the hammock, a quick chew would allow access. They still scurry around and on my stuff, but no longer share the bed.
I'm careful not to eat near my hammock, I check my cloths for crumbs before bed and ensure I don't leave food in any pocket, I put away anything I don't want a hole chewed in it. I also keep all food items and cooking stuff away from where I sleep. I always turn my cup over and keep a lid on my pot at the fire grate. Stubborn buggers still will try to get in. I have not found a way stop them, so I just try to keep them from ruining my better stuff. Even with all that, I wake to the sound of tiny clawed feet on my stuff, on my hammock, and on my tarp.

I have never had anything try to climb in with me. Not sure what you could do to prevent it. Probably never happen again.

Yeah, from time to time I hear them scurry along the tarp. It’s rare though. I don’t believe there’s anything you can do except invite them in for a snuggle. Hey, mice need love too.

Has anyone dealt with mice with their hammocks systems? I had a couple running along my tarp last time out. Any advice?
