quote SunCatcher: "Looks like you were in some nice "proistine" country, with a few challenges. Nice fish picture, and lunch. Did you figure out what "popped"??? I always enjoy those solo reports. Keep it up!

I'm thinking it was a tendon sliding against a bone, but I'm by no means an expert. It's OK now, maybe a slight bit sore.

Thanks for the comments. Sorry about the lack of paragraph breaks...I thought I had inserted more of them.

thanks for the report. I travel like you, backpacker light (I also backpack a lot). My rig is: SR Traquility (31 lbs), ultralight gear, with food for five days, around 29 pounds. You can sure travel easily at that weight. Single portaging isn't a problem either in most cases, just depends on how tired I am.

Great trip, I'd like to do it some day, but I think I would give it a few more days.

That was a good trip and report. You really traveled a lot of miles! We had the same experience as you on the Death March some years ago - you never know when you're getting to the last beaver pond.

Banksiana and I thought of doing the McIntyre Creek route to Robinson about a week before you were there, but we thought the creek might be crazy high given some other water we saw, so we did the bushwhack portage from Ted to Robinson instead. Got to do the McIntyre Creek route next trip.
