I have a great dehydrater and plan to try making some this week. I like the recipe you posted better than some I have found.
Here is another to look over. http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Craisins - Sorry I couldn't get the "attach Link" to work

Well, I dehydrated some. I don't think they are worth the effort. Ocean Spray Craisins actually come out to be cheaper and taste better.

I am looking for a good recipe to make my own craisins. I did a search of the site and didn't find a thread with the info I am seeking - I might have missed it -so I am asking for input.
I would like to try dehydrating my own so I can control the amount and type of sweetener. Any good recipes or advice?

I know they need to be cooked - some and in a sugar bath - but I was looking for specifics and hopefully from someone with experience who has tested a recipe

i thought craisins were just dehydrated cranberries. so, do you have to "cook" them first?

This sounds like something I would like to try. Have not done this yet as I don't have a dehydrator. (may be a good idea to put on my Christmas wish list)
But I did find this recipe
