In 2022, did a lot of trips in the Grand Maris side of the BWCA when they were having the bear issues. Did that quiet down or get sorted? Ended up on the Ely side of the world, mostly due to the permits not being available last year -- so I don't actually know how last year was in the entry points I'd often hit (Lizz, Rose, East Bear, etc).

Here's some anecdotal evidence from our bwca thread:
2023 Bear and Bug reports
It might be of some use. MN Dnr has a bear sighting tracker, however it's been disabled for the BWCA. Maybe a bit more searching will turn up actual bear sighting statistics for this past season?

The Rose area and East Bearskin through Alder to Clearwater areas had problems again in 2023.
It sounded like the Horseshoe area from Lizz problem from 2022 was not around in 2023.
