Well, I couldn't kneel when I tried it. I had a friend that had a kevlar Wenonah Rendezvous with pedestal seat. I kneel 90% of the time, and I tried and couldn't do so. Someone that's actually owned such a boat may have figured it out?

Wenonah does make a seat less than 14 inches wide,
I do not know if it is regularly available or needs to be ordered with the canoe (what I did). It won't work in my Advantage but might in a model with less tumblehome.
Could always remove the bucket and make a smaller seat.

Thought you were talking about a pedestal seat that Pat Moore used to use on his canoes. Its just like a saddle and quite comfortable to kneel on. Minicell pedestal seats are used extensively on whitewater play canoes.

Those are pedestal mounted tractor seats. Darn uncomfortable for me to kneel around.

Looks like the answer to this so far is no.

Yellowcanoe, Yes, what I am referring to kneeling with are pedestal mounted tractor seats.

I really don't like to sit on a seat with my legs out in front most of the time and would much prefer to paddle while kneeling. I have been looking for a solo canoe and have dismissed most canoes so far that I have found with pedestal seats so far because I assumed that I wouldn't be able to kneel comfortably with one. Looks like I might have been right to assume so.

Can you kneel comfortably when using a pedestal seat in a solo canoe? I prefer to paddle while kneeling with my feet underneath and my rear lightly parked on most wooden canoe seats. Can you do the same with a pedestal seat comfortably?

An example of the seat style I am talking about can be found here on a wenonah encounter...
