Lots of areas to fish, focus on areas near moving water for eyes. Leeches on a slip or lindy should work. Bottle lake had some nice smallie action the last time i went. Water is tanin stained in boulder bay, bright colors, and blues produced for us. Lots of pike were caught on rattle traps as well.

Do you think I would be okay jigging or drifting leeches?

Heading up to the boulder bay area in about a week,I don't think we wil make it to Canada side and we will be targeting mainly walleyes and pike. Im wondering, what are the best places to fish around this area? I'm also wondering what are the must have lures for this area. Thanks in advance

I like to have blue, orange, & chrome Rapals's on Nina Moose and Agnes.
Make sure to hit the weeds as you come out of Moose River into Nina Moose.

As you leave Agnes you should try the narrows between the 24 rod portage and the 115 rod portage and the rapids below on the Boulder River. Use leeches below a slip bobber around the boulders and structure and hang on! The same below the rapids except when they stop hitting the slip bobber start lindy rigging below the rapids! And also the US part of area below Bottle rapids, and try Iron Lake!

Can you get to Iron Lake without going into Canada?

I would use a lindy rig with a small spinner and float with a big juicy leech. We killed em on that in that area 2 years ago. Color was orange

Can you get to Iron Lake without going into Canada?" You are allowed to use Bottle Portage without any extra paperwork.

If you want to camp in Boulder Bay area you may want to drop a line in Never Fail Bay, just to the West of BB. I've heard there may be fish in that area, especially the West most side that opens up to LLC.
