Do you just tie that Ursack to a tree or how do you protect that food? Are you hanging it or what? I use a bear vault just curious. Thanks for sharing, SunCatcher |

quote boonie: "What's that food bag for 6 days weigh, butthead?" 8 Lbs. 2 oz. with spices and a group meal (3 solo paddlers) of potatoes Au Gratin potatoes and ham, added. I have packed this way for several years and the weight and volume has been consistent, tending slightly smaller with improved ingredients. I will end up after 6 days with a spare 1 1/2 lbs. or so of extra food left. I consider that a good emergency buffer. butthead |

Top left, down, Butter,,oil, drink mix, maple syrup, sausage, beef, bacon, tomatoes and sauce, vegetables mixed, soup mixes, cheese, sour cream, gravy, mashed potatoes mix, Bisquick, potato pancake mix, noodles, chocolate, fruit, nuts, coffee. About a dozen meals, soups, drinks, and snacks for a 6 nite trip (I make small serving when alone). From this I can mix and match what I want to make, spaghetti, stroganoff, stews, chili (that just reminded me to add a bag of spices), pancakes, biscuits, etc. butthead PS: just added dried chili peppers, Italian herbs, garlic salt, salt and pepper, bh |
