I carry duct tape. I have a swiss army knife in my pocket and a needle nose plilers in my fishing kit. Also in my fishing kit are a couple of safety pins and a sewing needle that can be used with either fishing line or dental floss. Again in my fishing kit is a rod repair kit - ie an extra tip, extra guide. and most importantly, a glue stick. There's a small tube of glue stuff and a patch from the manufacturer for my air matress in its stuff sack. There's a wrench for the stove in the stove's sack. I also take a few cable ties. Those are very useful! They can replace a bolt and help splint a broken yoke or paddle. My fishing reel is currently held to the rod with zip ties. It was a field repair and worked so well I never bothered getting a new reel. |
