quote alpinebrule: "Perhaps if more people actually answered the question asked rather than post to hear the sound of their own ego this site might be more useful and less cluttered. Those of the same age group as the poster might be able to get through the crowd at the bottom of the ladder to connect with someone of the same age group." Really dude. The great thing about this site is that there are very few people like you that post on this site. There wasn't a single response that was even remotely offensive, take a midol and chill out.

With basspro I'm 51 the younger people seem to have more respect then you. Guess I'll listen to them before you.

You might look into starting an "under 20-something" or "still in college" forum in the special interest area. FYI, "Younger than my dad's Grumman" will probably not work.

I have canoes that are around 40 years old and there are people with older canoes here.

It would be nice to see a lot more younger posters here some in the mid teens would be nice.

But for now us old guys make up the largest group.

I would say that I am a youngster compared to many people my age, and being addicted to the BW is a big reason why!

Beyond that I have no further comment about age because I don't want to think about it...

Not the youngest, I'm 30. It's kind of dad that I'm on the younger end of the spectrum when you look at the ages of people visiting the bwca.

If his profile info is correct, it appears I'm a day younger than alpinebrule.....

To those that have to post to boost their ego about how wrong the rest of us are.....where was I going with this?

Wow, I think you totally miss what makes this site great- conversation. Sheesh.

I'm 26 so I'm in the young crowd as well. Feel old though with 3 kids...

Someone is getting grumpy in their old age :)

Joking aside...didn't you just do the same thing that you're complaining about?

19 is a prime number and you are at the prime of the first stage of your life. I am also at a prime number but it is 40 years more than yours, guess I am at the prime of the final stage of my life. Enjoy each of those years, 19, 20, 21 and every one beyond...and make good decisions so that you can enjoy those final prime numbers with many of us on the site. We may not remember too much about being 19 but we know it was good.

I still find fart jokes very funny. I guess that makes me pretty young. Oh wait, that's immature. Never mind.

While 32 isn't too close to 19 I still feel pretty young when BW tripping compared to most of the people we meet. Meeting the older people is great though as they have the most experience and know the best fishing spots!

Considering I deal with 1000, 15-18 year old students everyday and have to keep up with them technologically, mentally, and otherwise... I really don't feel like I'm a few years away from retirement. But I guess its doing what I do that keeps me thinking young, whether the body is or not!

I was 19 in 1969. Long time ago. More power to you BlueSkiesWI! Wish with all my heart I had learned about the magic of canoe tripping at that age. Had to wait till I was 50 for that. Am eager to know who is youngest. Would love to know who is "most aged" also!

I'm either 43 or twelve depending on whether you ask me or Mrs. Deuce. Mrs. Deuce's assessment is arguably more accurate.

Hey all you old timers... remember!!! The question was "Who is younger than 19?".

Not "How old are you?
Not "Do you remember being younger?"
Not "What year did you turn 19?"
etc, etc, etc

What was my point again???

Probably a good thing all us old coots chimed in because there would probably only be one or two responses to who's younger then 19.

I'd like to claim that I'm the youngest but I started drawing Social Security a couple months back. I've also done about 50 or so trips into the BWCA and that is hard to accomplish when you are younger than 19.
