Our first entrance into the great BWCA on Fall Lake. Just a day trip to "experience" what canoeing was like and how much FUN we could have, (Dad's words!!). Well, that was 1965 and we still love the B-Dub!

I haven't participated in a while. It's really high ISO, but here's from a lightning show on Rabbit after sundown.

Early season run, before ice out. Made it down to end of lake where we ran out of open water and a clipper caught us. Ended up dropping ~6in.

We were on fourtown during this hail storm. We collected some and used it for ice cubes in our bourbon.

The storm was a steady drizzle that kept increasing in intensity until we were getting wet and had to take shelter on shore. This pic is just after the rain lightened up and we decided to head South, even though Peter is pointing North/Northeast.
