I have a head lamp and I know how wonderful they make camping, especially in the BWCA and especially-er in the winter (I know that's not a word - but it works).
Anyway, my question is where can I find a head lamp that has a battery pack at the end of a wire. This way I can keep the battery on my belt next to me to keep warm. The lights I have now all have the batteries inside the light housing. They are compact enough to fit inside my pocket when done. So far this has worked for me.
Any one know of a good winter light like I am describing?

I know that Black Diamond makes one and Petzl has two. The Petzl lamps are more expensive. I have used both brands and have had good luck.
