" Yup, you're right on with the open water. You can usually pick your way around it, just gotta be careful. If you're headed down Seagull looking for trout I'd target the mid-lake reefs first and steep drop offs second, you can find them on most maps. Fish the same reefs at night with glow jigs for burbot. Thanks to all those who post current info and trip reports here. I had a great first winter camping experience on a 2-night trip to Daniels lake last March thanks to some folks here. I hope to do a similar trip this year. I'd like to get in to some bigger trout and possibly burbot, and have been looking at Sea Gull. Is it possible to access that lake in winter from the USFS trail's end campground? |
