I was checking on the dates for this symposium and found that it has been moved back to Ely this year. Makes for a little longer drive for me at least, but should be a great time to be up in Ely.
I had a great time last year at this event and plan to go to this one as well.

BB, thats funny I was going to hike that same oct weekend, but moved it up a couple weeks to spread things out a little. It will be interesting to see how the Ely event compares to last year's. I thought the place where it was held last year was very nice. I've been trying to save up enough money for a new tent but I think I will be a couple hundred dollars short. Next year for sure!

I'll take notes and give a little summary. One thing I noticed is that there will be a "planned" bon fire the first night. :)

Soledad,
You never know you might just find a deal you can't pass up on the tent this year.
You better make sure they have no curfew on that fire, you wouldn't want to make a name for yourself at this event.

Maybe next year we can meet again, and I'll be sure to bring some Russian beer again.

The dates: Oct 24-26, 2008 at the Vermilion College Campus.

I have a copy of the event/speaker schedule: if you are interested let me know.

Soledad,
I had a great time last year as well and it was nice to meet you. I wish I could come again this year but I have a canoe trip planed for the first week of Oct. and it would be hard to come back a few weeks later and on my wife's birthday to boot.
