Camp Notes: Awesome site. Great for swimming and beaching canoes. Stayed 4 nights and was wonderful. One of the nicest on the lake. Great sunsets. Only 3 good tent sites off shore, but plenty of sand to camp on the beach.

Camp Notes: This isn’t the only sandy beach in the bwca but they're not common and that makes this site special from the start. Obviously the landing couldn’t be better. Unfortunately the fire grate gets a poor rating. The grate itself is far to low to the ground, making starting a fire cumbersome, especially if the wood isn’t bone dry. This is too bad because I would bet anything that people will resort to having a fire on top of the grate instead of below. That’s really the only criticism I have of this site. Everything else is really great. Nice view of the lake, and we caught lakers and pike from shore off some nearby rock slopes. 3 nice tent pads and hammock opportunities to be had.

Camp Notes: A friend and I used this site for a day. It had rained on and off all day. All of the tent pads had standing water in them. Especially the one by the lake. The beach was amazing, lots of sand for swimming. The fire grate was near the water but someone had built it up to be sheltered from the wind. Not many places for a bear pack to hang. Also the latrine is very close to the main camp area. The wind comes into this site very strong. We only stayed a night on this site before we moved across the lake to a better site. I will not stay at this site again.

Camp Notes: Approaching from the south use caution not to hug the east shore too close as there is a mine field of submerged boulders to navigate through. A great sandy beach with the best tent pad nearest the lake & the awesome firegrate area. Great spot for swimming as the sand stretches well out into the lake. Latrine doesn't necessarily provide adequate privacy within camp.
