Great photo. Would be neat if the bow were centered in the reflection of the sky

I think I'm still eligible since I didn't win a contest but got the extra prize. This photo is very special as it is of my father in law and my mother in law chose it as the picture we had blown up and framed for his Memorial last weekend.
This choice was a pleasant surprise. I was focusing on my lake, sunset/sunrise, animal pics and came across this one that I was going to overlook. I got a great memory of how I was feeling at the moment.
This was somewhere in the Ada Lake region in 2010 and as we wound our way through this narrow stretch I was struck with how I was being swallowed up by the wilderness. It was the lush green, the closed in feeling, and not being able to see the lead canoe at times that gave the kind of feeling that I go to the BW to get.
May waters rise to meet you.
May wind and current be always at your back.
May the Good Lord paddle with you,
And may yours be the lightest pack.

Congrats, chilly. That has been one of my favorite pics ever since you first posted it. Peaceful and mysterious. How I view it changes depending in my mood. Neat stuff.
