Hi All: If you like winter camping you might like the Welcome to Winter Festival in Solon Springs, WI December 7, 8 9. Tents, brats, fireworks!

Solon Springs is about one hour south of Superior, WI on Hwy 53. There were a handful of winter tents set up, some wine, chili, and brats. We had to leave for another commitment, but there were supposed to be a bonfire and fireworks.

It was a fun evening. They had traditional wall tents, a huge teepee, and a couple Snowtrekker tents set up that people were staying in. Had a big bonfire, a great fireworks display at 7:00PM, followed by a band performance inside the Mercantile. Took my wife and 10 and 8 year old boys and had some hot chocolate and wandered around. I would recommend going next year if it's an annual event. They need to step up their marketing campaign cuz I think they could get more than the approx. 100 people they had stop by.
