Very entertaining read. Funny about the skeeters actually liking your bug dope. :) Those falls looked fun. Wanted more shots of the dog. How was he/she in the canoe and on the portages? Did she eat some fish?

Fun trip report. Sounds like you experienced Tom T's worst nightmare with your van breakdown:-)

I was at the East Bearskin campground that same weekend and I can attest to the voracious mosquitoes. Man, were they bad.

The dog was fine in the canoe as long as there were no distractions. She has been hiking with me for a long time, so the portages were easy and painless. She had never encountered fish before, so she didn't quite know what they were and what to do with them.
