I have restrained from posting until now. It is clear to me that this thread should be closed as it is becoming increasingly disrespectful. Let's leave name calling and politics for other sites to discuss and focus on less heated topics (like canoeing!!!). Just my $0.02

Just saying. It is great to think that we should be immune from politics here, but the fact of the matter is that BWCA and Quetico are here because of politics and can be ruined by the same. As our environment is degraded, whether by AGW or by Mining, without the spirited discussion the business interests will inevitably "win." Glenn Frey said it well. "Call some place paradise, kiss it goodbye." It is up to us to prove that wrong. It won't happen by pretending we don't have a problem.
