Bummer!! I just had to cancel my LIS North trip starting tomorrow (Sat 8/11). My partner got sick two weeks ago and got worse with a high fever and was hospitalized two days ago -cause unknown, It was her first trip to the BWCA.

Thanks to all that offered opinions on my hanging or stowing a food pack. This was my post about three weeks back on to hang a pack or not.If anyone can get in at the last minute there is one permit available.

So sorry you had to cancel your trip, Steve. Hope they figure out what is wrong with your partner and she recovers quickly. Start planning for next year; anticipation is an important part of any trip.
