I have entered at Beaverhouse twice, and via the Black Robe Portage once. These trips have taken me through lakes like Quetico, Jean, Burntside, Sturgeon, Darky, Wicksteed, William, Conmee, Brent, McIntyre, Argo, Russell, Chatterdon, the Poets, Kawnipi, the Falls Chain, Saganagons, etc.
Looking for some input and suggestions for Fall solo trips... May also be for a spring trip. Am particularly interested in little out of the way lakes, taking account of water levels for that particular time of year, etc.

What do you got?

You could do the route I solo'ed last Sept. PP, Sunday, Shade, McNiece, Kahsh, Joyce, Burt, McIntyre, Ted, Robinson, Kett, Basswood and out Wind Lake.

You get into some very pretty interior lakes and there's a nice one mile bushwhack from Ted to Robinson just for kicks.

Man Chain. Or Agnes/Louisa area. Or Yum Yum/Kahs/Hurlburt area. Or Ted/Elk area.

Nearly anyplace in the Q will be wonderful. I really liked up the Man Chain and back through McEwen-Louisa but the other suggestions are great options. McEwen to Louisa definitely havs out of the way lakes.

French to pickerel, bisk-beg-bud lakes, fern, olifaunt, that area is nice, shorter portages (except for the long one from fern to olifaunt), easier portages. probably fishing options, too.

I always wanted to Go from French down to Cache and Mckenzie on to Kawnipi and then up through the poets chain into Chatterton then on to Olifaunt and then back out through pickerel.

8-10 days should be just about right for something like that.
