Planning our trip for mid-August and we are thinking about looping down the Quetico River, across on the Namakan and then back up Bearpelt Creek through Wolseley and into Omeme. My biggest concerns are whether Bearpelt is really passable north of Wolseley and motor traffic on the Namakan. Anyone gone this way lately or ever? I've been going to Quetico since the early 90's and we've never hit this part of the park, so I have no idea what to expect in terms of campsite availability, portage maintenance and etc. We are entering through Beaverhouse (Quetico Lake) and considering doing the loop in reverse too...not sure if that matters either! Any advice would be most welcome!
