I am going to try the new Primus Ti lite stove approximate 9000 BTU with a 10 and 12" cast iron pan to see how it cooks.
Anyone using cast iron in the BWCA

Thanks

Our group brings a 10 and a 12 inch cast iron fry pan. They work great on the fire. Just wipe with a paper towel to clean.

No but I do pack a GSI 10" hard anodized aluminum Dutch Oven for trips of two or more people. I like it from everything from frying fish to baking. Can also use the lid as a fry pan.

Can't beat cast iron for cooking over a fire.

I have always taken a 10" cip. I have a very old set made in Australia back in the 1940's. It is about a third less in weight, so well seasoned nothing sticks in it, and I used it as an anchor one trip when I forgot my anchor bag... worked great and never snagged...

Dang why didn't I think of that. Just tie the rope to the handle. :)
