I'll ask my buddy when he gets out - he is on Seagull right now (went in Wednesday morning during the rain I assume).

We just came out of the BW at Seagull Lake. Fishing was very slow, slowest in years. I assume all this crazy weather has had an impact.

Good luck!

i would call seagull outfitters or stop in at there store before you go in, there usually in tune with whats happening in the way of fishing and there great people. personally i have fished it 5 times i think its one of the best entry point lakes out there. some of our bigger fish are two 14lb pike- 9lb walleye- 7 1/2lb laker. its loaded with 5lb pike.I have done well trolling from the large point on the west side (picnic point)south to well pass the rog portage to an island along that shoreline(it is a green island no burn) alot of hits outside the rog portage.( and if your interested in brook trout try rog lake i have gotten some nice ones out of that lake BUT timing is everything with brookies like iceout or late october this time of the year target morning or evening/dusk). theres no reason you shouldnt be able to pop some pike trolling. for lakers troll deeper water, long line a descent size spoon or your deepest diving crank bait. it is some big water on the west end she can get rolling, so use caution & always wear your vest

Pretty random, but my buddy caught a nice laker (2-3 lbs) around dusk on a crawdad by casting near the islands to the Northwest. He insisted on using it on every lake because it said it could catch every type of fish on the package and indeed he caught bass, walleye and even that laker.. ha! It was the only lure he used, and even though he lost it on the way out, he promptly bought another to bring back next time.

Just got back from my trip yesterday. Fishing was slow, but it made it that much more enjoyable to land the big ones. caught pike and small mouth pike were all around 5 lbs and the smallies were all around 16 inches and a few that were around 10. one of the guys in our group literally caught a rock. reeled it in and everything. caught some smallies on Rog and Alpine as well. All around a very enjoyable trip!

Also, the northers were caught with Rapalas and the smallies were caught mostly with leeches in 14 or so feet of water.
