I am sad to report that the basemaps service we used for probably the last 8 years has shutdown. The google maps do still work, and I will be looking to enhance those or look for an alternative.
Thanks and good luck. I am hoping that you can tweak the Google map side of things to allow us to continue adding our fish/photo/point-of-interest markers.

quote AndySG: "Sorry to hear this Adam. The Maps and the member comments were a fantastic part of this site. Hoping you find an adequate replacement. "
The comments are still on the google maps. I find the google maps quite an adequate subsitute for what we had before...actually I've mostly been using them, anyway, as I often had trouble with the others. Though now that I think about it, sometimes I have trouble with the google map, too; sometimes things don't load (like portages).
In the Quetico forum there is a new member Jelf who seems to have quite a bit of knowledge on google maps and customizing them. He might be able to shed some insight on a user friendly way to incorporate it into the board.

You are still around. Thanks again for your hard work.

Thanks for all your hard work. The rest of us appreciate it very much. You make this site a wonderful place to reference while we wait through the miserable winter in anticipation for the upcoming season in the BDUB.
