My daughter and I just returned from a 7 day trip to Darky and Brent. Be prepared to do some high stepping over downed trees on all the portages. The havoc we encountered most likely was caused by the heavy late snow. We did what we could with our small camp saw. Definitely will require clean up by the portage crews. Fishing report to follow (Quetico all fished out).

Hmmm....Quetico all fished out. Guess I'll have to cancell my Quetico trip that starts next week. Sounds like it might be better to just sit in front of the TV and watch those fishing vidoes instead!! :)

I hate fishing and despise easy portages, so I'm going in this weekend. If I see so much as one miserable fish, I'll be really p#ssed.

Problem with going to Quetico you can dislocate your shoulder catching so many fish.

I do take great comfort in the fact that you'll be in a day before us, Pete. If there are 1 or 2 fish left, I know you'll get 'em and spare me the outrage!

Have a great trip, and maybe we'll bump into you somewhere around in that desolate wasteland! (Heidi and I will be tagging along with the Beaglefur clan).
