Can't dispute the accuracy of this link. As soon as it came up gusts of wind started hitting me in the face from out of the monitor! I know this is not original but a friend that passed away a couple of years ago was a 30+ year veteran of the BW and he would always say the wind blows from 5 directions up there. There's North, South, East and West and in your freaking face. Very cool link. I forgot to notice can it predict wind from a week out or so?

That map is really pretty. I find it odd that you cannot really makeout out Rockies. You think they would be really obvious/disruptive. There is that tight swirl in OK area, looks fun.

notice how all the wind in the US is blowing up the st. croix river valley? that is the case every time i paddle this river.
