It was another successful weekend camp out for bwca.com members here in central Illinois. In attendance were:
Coriolis (John) and Doris Nojobro (Nola), Phantom (John), Bronwyn, Linnea and Booker Rapid Runner (Scott) and Samantha Maxxbhp (Bill) and Diana (Mrs Maxx) JCavenagh (Jim) Salukiguy, Mrs Saluki, 3 Little Salukis, and Snuggles Chicagored (Mitch) AndySG, Marsha, and Lucy giddyup (Mona) Aaron79, Eric and Austin sking (Scott)
True to the event's Southern nature, the weather was warm, sunny and dry. T-shirts, shorts and sandals was the uniform of the day, and there were some red faces, arms, legs, and feet by Saturday night. Luckily, ice, ice cream treats and showers were available at the park. Events included canoeing, fishing, pot luck supper, tales of camping and canoeing, many games of bag toss, and checking the mutts for ticks. I truly hope all the attendees enjoyed this event as much as Marsha and I did. And thanks to the youngsters who helped us by entertaining Lucy for the weekend. She's done nothing but sleep since we got home at Noon today.
A splendid weekend. The uploader is having a tough day, more photos to follow

And we all get drunk at the football game, yeh the new south, thank God is still the same" Hank Williams, jr
I am glad you had a great weekend! It is strange seeing wingnight photos where everyone is not bundled up or in rain gear. It looks like the kids and dogs got along great. Lucy sure is a cute Beagle.
Thanks Andy and Marsha and to all of you the worked to make this happen.
Glad you all had a great timeand had fantastic weather! Like Zulu said: Doesn't seem right to have a wingnight when you are not wearing extra layers and raingear. Thanks for the pictures and all your hard work. Especially love the picture with Lucy sleeping in the lawn chair! Priceless.

That dog ran farther in 3 1/2 hours than I have in the last 20 years

What a thrill this was meeting and socializing with other BWCA members. I actually found out I work at the same place as one of them. Further coincidences occured when with another family showing up with a girls the same ages as mine. Thanks to Andy and Marsha for putting this on. Next time I'll have to arrive before dark so I can find the place. The kids had a great time and can't wait to go on the next camping trip.
quote AndySG: "And BTW, someone left a navy blue bag chair? Jim?" Yup. Enjoy it in good health! I was up and out early on Sunday. What a great time. Friday night=no bugs at all and those stars!!! Wow! Saturday morn was an easy laze around. I planned my hike in cool and calm. Saturday afternoon, I went for a hike on the Governors Trail in the NW section of the park. That park is HUGE. We ate until it hurt on Staurday night and then most of us couldn't really move much. And when maxx started out with, "Oh, this is funny..." we knew our bellies were gonna hurt from laughing. Thanks, everyone, and especially Andy, & Marsha for a great time!

Looks like everyone had a great time. Looks a lot warmer than the one last month. Wish I could have joined you all there but I was on my solo trip. Love to see all the pictures.
quote Aaron79: "Maxx was a trip! Loved his stories!! " I agree Aaron. Maxx is a true southern raconteur. I am so thrilled that he and his Belle Diana attended.
I wish you and your boys could have camped with us. Like the other Wing Nights, it was truly a magical weekend.
