Doing a solo through Morgan to the Gaskin area 22nd of Sept. Staying at Flour the night before. Not wanting to bring minnows in o2 bag all the way from the cities,, probably would die overnight or with my luck,, on the last portage. Can a guy still depend on Golden Eagle Lodge or others in the area for minnows at that time of year?? Sometimes with the crowds thinning out, so do the minnows at the smaller bait places.
Thanks-

Contact "Ugly Baby Bait" on the Gunflint Trail and ask about the availability of minnows, crawlers, and leeches.

I like to spend money up north, too. If you can't find any minnows up there, though, they'll live o2 packed for quite awhile, especially if you keep them cold. And remember, if they were to die, they still can work pretty good and are easier to portage.
