Those are some nice looking fish guys! What a monster QueticoMike, bet that guy gave you a good fight.
I posted the first pic in another thread about funny fish pics...It's one of the first fish I ever caught when fishing with my Dad and remember that I was SO proud of it. It's a lousy bullhead but I insisted on keeping it. Second is me and my "fish finder" Karma on Meadows Lake last year. Titled it "give the fishy a kiss":-) I swear the dog never fails...she loves fishing, and shortly after she starts very seriously staring at the water it's FISH ON! Third pic are my 2 favorite fishing pals keeping me company in the shade when I wasn't feeling very well.

This is one of my favorite fishing pictures. Of course my real fav's are of my kids, but I have always really liked this one. It's me with my first Canadian walleye. Pike (or Pipe) Lake, Ontario, 1976. Pretty sure it is Pike.

I always have to remind my wife that it's a "snap" action to set the hook, not a "lift" of the rod tip.
Some good pics here! Nice snook! Fantastic jumping smallie! On the subject of setting the hook, I always remind my wife that she is trying to kill them.
Caught this 20ish inch what I think is a female brown trout 2 days ago. Not very big but I can't complain about the first fall run fish of the year. She jumped 3 times which was cool because Browns usually stay down. This is the first picture I've taken of a Burnt Wood creek fish. Typically I like to keep them in the water, take the hook out and let them go.

Here are two from my son's first trip last summer. Him--Carp Lake portage on our way to Knife. Me--super-secret spot not to be revealed. Our first BWCA adventure was glorious.

Great picture. By the ending of the sentence, it obviously went back into the drink. What a bummer that you didn't get a good picture.

That's exactly what happened. The camera auto focused, I got the green light to take the photo and woosh, up he went right over the side and he was gone. I checked the camera, phew, I got a pic, I had proof. For a second I thought I'd have a pic of my plier's and my son's Hotwheel car and a fish story no one would believe.

We took my daughters fishing. Sarah (on the right) kept complaining "Fishing is dumb- really boring- why does ANYone EVER go fishing..." Then she got this on the end of her line- she has never been the same- can out fish most of the guys she knows.
Here is my son's 30 inch walleye that is now on his wall. He was 6 at the time and he did all the reeling himself, all dad did was net the fish." Love this picture, beautiful fish, he should be very proud.

Hot wheel car! ha that's funny. I didn't even see that. Got to keep the little guys entertained somehow when the bite is off though. My son wanted to take his nintendo with one time. Put a halt to that one. I brought a MN fish book for him to study. I have thought about getting him a little remote controlled boat that he could play with when he gets bored.

Only 17?? Didn't want to stay out for #18? Did you run out of room on the stringer?

quote Arlo Pankook: "That is a nice fish. It looks like you could fit your fist in it's mouth." Ha, just about. Here's another shot of the same fish with me taking it out of the net, it looks way bigger in this pic :)
