Hey guys, because of the bickering children in St. Paul, I need a little help. If I remember correctly the main species in Perent Lake are walleye, northern and perch. With definitely no lake trout present and no smallmouth’s.
I usually use the DNR’s lake finder for this kind of info. But like I said, with no one teaching our “leaders” how to play nice and get along. That resource is disabled until further notice.
Just fished on Perent on 6/30. We caught buckets full of smallmouth bass. Several that were over 2 lbs. Probably the most fish I have caught in one day and have been fishing for almost 50 years.

Were you on Perent by Hog Creek or Parent by Snowbank?
Gorytt you must of been on the Perent by snowbank which has buckets of smallmouth around 2-3 pounds. The hogs creek Perent lake should not have any smallmouth. As far as I know they are below the falls in bald eagle in that watershed. Love smallmouth but it would be nice to have one place left without them. They have made it up that chain a long ways in recent years. As long as were on the Perent by hogs creek. Any Moose sitings there?Use to be a lot but I have noticed none for me there in recent years.
