My name is Bud Rice, I am happy to enter your group. I live in Frederick County Maryland and am interested in canoeing rivers in Virginia and North Carolina. We spend most of our canoe camping trips on the Potomac or the Shenandoah. We have spent some time on the Juniata River in Pennsylvania and in the Five Ponds Wilderness area of the Adirondacks. I have three sons ages 17,19 & 21. We have a small group of friends with like minded canoing interest. I would love to share any knowlege we have on these areas for some information on areas farther south in Virginia and North Carolina. I usally like to scout out a river before we plan a weekend trip but when the trips get farther away it is nice to rely on canoist with firts hand knowlege.

Welcome Bud. Hope to meet you some day. Give me a heads-up if you are headed to North Carolina's Outer Banks.
