Hey, me and two other people will be be taking a trip into BWCA and will be entering at entry point 34 and will be exiting at entry point 32. I was wondering if anyone else has taken this route and what their suggestions are and what they thought of the trip.

Beautiful trip...did it a number of years ago with a group of kids. It is easy to get confused on the river as to how far you have gone and where you actually are. Several times we put on life jackets and swam/ floated thru rapids. You have very little visibility on the river, maybe 100 yards max, so you almost always feel alone. We finally came out on Bald Eagle and had a big vista and could see other groups--went from alone to busy.

Forgot to mention...I don't know your experience level or if that experience is on rivers. There are a number of rapids on this river...some are just class I rock gardens...stand up and look for the opening. Others are real rapids...if you are in doubt, portage. If you want to run one but aren't sure, portage the gear and run empty. If you wonder about one, walk the shoreline and look at the rapids
From The Bottom Up! It is easy to not see a ledge or rock looking down the rapids, but looking upstream they are visible. I bent a 3 day old canoe in the Quadga Rapids years ago by not following this advice.
Have a good trip.
