anybody have a recommendation for a nice (not luxurious, but not primitive) bunkhouse/lodging from an outfitter on moose lake?
we have a late fall trip with a couple groups coming in from different directions on a saturday and we'd like to meet up on moose lake, sort gear and spend the night, and then be able to get a tow out early sunday morning to prairie portage. (i know we could stay in ely saturday night, but i also know that there would not be much sorting of gear going at whatever late time we finish drinking in town).
Only stayed at one. GREAT PEOPLE and nice "motel cabin" cheap. A few steps to small"mess hall" (GREAT breakfast) and a few more steps down hill to dock. CBO Canadian Border Outfitters on list of sponsors at icon to left on this page labeled 'outfitters/guides they load&tow right there too.
I've used Williams and Hall for years and just returned from a trip - great folks. But, it has been my experience that most all of the outfitters do a good job.

Another vote for Williams & Hall. We've used them for years for partial outfitting. A great place to stay and have breakfast and dinner before and/or after the trip as well. Very helpful and friendly!
Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
