I plan on taking a loop trip from Saganagons to Blackstone lake Via the Blackstone River then either into Slate Lake and out OR Bell Fran and then Slate Lake and out??? I have been in all of the above lakes except for Blackstone and I enjoyed them all. Are there any camping sites on the Blackstone River??
What is the portage like from Slate to (un named lake) and then into Blackstone? How about the one (298 rod portage) from Bell to Blackstone?

We went into Blackstone from Bell and out via the river/creek to Saganagons last year. Great trip! There's no campsites on the river betweens Saganagons and Blackstone. Great campsite on Blackstone. I haven't been on the portages in from Slate, but a friend has, and he said that route is pretty rugged too, so you should choose based on where you want to go.
