Funny ... I was just looking here to see if I could find your email address.

Today a small group of us decided we are going to camp at Durant's Island (an uninhabited island on the Albemarle Sound near the mouth of the Alligator River) next Wednesday and Thursday nights. Thought you might like to join us.

We are looking for experienced paddlers/campers (Durant's Island is truly "remote" camping). You fit the bill.

We do plan some open water paddling and high winds could be a problem for a canoe. However, I've got a spare kayak if you are interested.

Any interest? -- Cliff

P.S. I'm also interested in paddling the second week of June.

Sorry you cannot make this trip to Durant's. We may postpone due to high winds.

Are you down here the following week or, the second week of June? Or, both? Either way, my schedule is pretty open these days.

Have you paddled Monkey Island in the Currituck Sound? How about Alligator River or Indiantown Creek? -- Cliff
