Hey, are there enough people here from the St. Louis area to support a wing night? I'd love to spend a night eating some wings, drinking a beer or two, and bs'ing about the BW.

P.S.
Double portagers might be ridiculed slightly.... :)

Hello. That sounds like an interesting idea. I'm making my first trip to the BWCA this June. Headed to Insula via EP30 on 6/13. I'm in the St. Louis area and might be up for a wing night. Hopefully some more area folks will chime in.

I am defenitely interested. I live in northern Il but i'm sure we can meet somewhere in between for all of us. Have made many trips to the bdub and quetico and would like to share with fellow b-dubbers.

well, thats four of us, which is a good start, and i might be able to round up a couple guys from my crew. how's a bout march 14 or 21 as a tentative date? and we'll see how many other guys we can get in on it.

Am in St. Louis's West County. Would enjoy this but am concerned HA about my triple portage approach to camping in BW. I guess I could tough that out and possibly get a few converts in a debate.

Doesn't look like I am going to find a weekend for this fall. It has been busier then usual with work and other obligations. I still think it needs to happen and I may join an event that someone else wants to plan somewhere in the area. I am going to make it a priority event for me to plan for Spring though. We could od something early spring or late winter. I will create a online poll to pick some dates sometime in November. Just want to let everyone know I haven't forgotten about it.

I wish you folks could have made it to this Wing Night I set up last Spring. I'm willing to do it again if there is enough interest.

In the meantime, I'm up for a St. Louis area Wing. I too plan to be in Madison the weekend of March 8-10.

You were born in 81 I was born in 57. I'll be dead by the time you reach my age now, but I wonder how you'll feel about double portaging then:)
