I think all of us like seeing water falls. The falling mist, the lure of fish below. The roaring sound you might hear miles away, especially while laying in a sleeping bag at night.
I think my favorite would be Chatterton falls in Quetico.I might also like this one because of its location and good fishing below. Louise falls is also a very nice one. There are so many you have the stairway portage cascade at Rose lake is beautiful if the water is high.
Some of my favorite portages like Hansen to knife lake follow creeks with the sound of falling water while portaging.
Never been to Basswood falls by Crooked lake or Silver falls by Cache bay(heard of a lot of artifacts from way back found below the falls from canoe tip overs.
Often wondered what the Prairie Portage falls would look like without the dam structure. I guess native Indian groups would gather there in the fall and fish and net whitefish coming to spawn there. Lot of history by water falls.
Than there are the ones that coax you to run the rapids. Can I make it or not. Its a great feeling when you run a rapids(if you make it),but as I get older I run a few less and portage a few more. Also I don't like to scratch or poke holes in my kevilar canoe. My old aluminum I was not so worried. But even them, I seen some in front outfitters stores, that have been cut in two, bent in half, or look like the battle ship the Bismark must have looked like when sunk.

My all time favorite is Johnson Falls. I have been there two times and will return next year. Great place to eat lunch or swim at.

Looks like the Pigeon River falls to me (and since he mentions border crossing I would assume it is).

There are so many that are powerful and specatcular, and I have loved them all: Rose Falls, Curtain Falls, Silver Falls, Basswood, Wheelbarrow, and especially Johnson Falls. Rebecca is very interesting, too. I have a special spot in my heart for High Falls and Myrtle Falls on the Namakan River because they were on my first trip in 1971.

But one of my favorites doesn't even have a name. I enjoyed this little falls at the end of the portage from Ge-be-on-e-quet Lake to the creek of the same name. Just a beautiful spot and a favorite of mine.

Yes, Pigeon Falls aka High Falls, which can be accessed now from Grand Portage State Park.

Many good ones up in the area. I finally just saw Devils Cascade a couple days ago.
My favorite for the area but not in the Bdub or Q is also the high falls on the Pigeon River. I have some great shots of it in the spring but they are on a different computer.

I've seen pretty much all of the falls mentioned by others here but for me it's Mueller Falls between Ogish and Agamok. Outside the BW my fave is Partridge Falls. In fact that's my favorite place in all of MN.

I saw it for the 1st time on my May trip last year. After 6 days of sun, heat, bugs and sweat, we took a day trip there from our camp on Ogish to relax and rejuvenate. We spent several hours there cleaning up, napping, taking pics, munching on trail food and generally soaking up the spray and rush of cool air coming down the gorge. It was fantastic.

But the best part is I was with my friend Ed Mueller. So on that trip we got to visit both Eddy and Mueller falls!

Have seen many in the BW and Q. One of my fav's is on the Maligne river between Kawnipi and Russell, Have a smoke portage goes around them. The portage kind of sucked but the falls was great. Chatterton is also cool, great fishing below. One of my favs is horseshoe falls, but it is not in BW.

Sue Falls in the Quetico 1993 holds special memories for me. I was tripping with my 11yo son and though my divorce was not yet final, I had not been living with him for over 9 months. Well, some things took place between him and I on that trip that brought him to say to me some 14 months later, "Dad, do you remember holding me in your arms on that rocky point near Sue Fall?" "Yes son." "Well I realized something that morning." "What was that son?" "Well, no matter whatever happens to me in life, I know that you would never ever leave me."
