08/12/2008 01:46PM Did a similar loop this weekend (Cherokee, Town, Gasket, Cam, Wench, Brule. Absolutely brutal portages (and we had a, 80 pound Old Towne canoe in tow. Not sure I would go that way again. |

12/27/2007 08:42PM Take-out (September 21, 2007) and a traditional toast to another good trip. This trip started and ended at Kawishiwi Lake (Entry 37). Little Saganaga was reached via a meandering path that took us through Beaver, Smite, Adams, Boulder, Ledge, Vee, Fee, Hoe, and etc (relaxed pace of travel). We entered on Sunday (September 9) just after the fire ban was lifted. The weather was a "bit" unsettled over the entire time, but water levels were excellent. The connection to Boulder from Adams was as simple as a pull-over (in marked contrast to nearly impassable conditions in 2006). Cheers.
