If you can't tell, I love sunrises. Though I have tons of pictures of sunsets as well.
fitgers1 07/02/2012 03:57PM
Sunrise. It's the dawn of a new day. A new day of exploring, traveling, fishing, lounging and all that good jazz. Sunset just means the day is over and all I have to look forward to is a couple evening drinks and starwatching and lighted bobber fishing.
But
Sunsets are more spectacular.

I also like this one.

Sunsets are beautiful but I prefer Sunrise. Sunsets can be hectic getting chores done while sunrise is quiet, calm, and peaceful.
Jeriatric 07/02/2012 01:47PM
Sunrise

I don't know that I could say one or the other is my "favorite," but I do really treasure sunrises, especially in midsummer between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning.

inspector13 07/02/2012 11:00AM

No favorites, but I’m beginning to better appreciate every sunrise I get to see, now that I’m getting older.

SUNRISE...I ussually get up at 4:30 or 5 am and love watching the World Wake up!

Love 'em both.
Won't make a choice.

Moon rise with a full moon is great too.

What is this sunrise thing you are referring to? Not familiar with those. Sunsets, now those are beautiful and I look forward to each one.
nojobro 07/01/2012 11:42PM
Got up at 5am the other day on Vera Lake and still missed it. So sunset for me.

Sunrise. It's the best time of the entire day...and many people sleep right through it. How sad is that? :)
RainGearRight 07/01/2012 08:59PM
Sun rise here. Just because it is so elusive to me
nofish 07/01/2012 08:55PM
I have to go with sunset.

Here is the sunset on Winchell last August. This was from the site on the small peninsula just to the east of the bay that leads to the Omega Portage.

Hawbakers 07/01/2012 07:03PM
Gonna say sunset. Because after that the stars come out and hopefully Northern Lights. I think this is a planet though. Thomas Lake

On canoe trips, definitely sunset. But anyone who knows me knows that I am not an early riser, so that is all I see.

However, when I am at work, I usually see both. Sunset when I'm at work, sunrise when I'm on my way home to get some sleep. The sky can be so beautiful to see as I drive home, a nice "end" to my day.

Merganser 07/01/2012 12:37PM
I like both but I find that I enjoy more sunsets. In the evening I'm relaxing in camp and can take it all in. In the morning I'm busy with breakfast and breaking camp. I might notice, even snap a photo but I don't sit there and watch it happen

When I do base camp and am not trying to get on my way, I'm usually up too late to enjoy the sunrise.
Basspro69 07/01/2012 12:08PM
Love em both, but if I had to choose one it would be sunset.
bellolake 07/01/2012 11:43AM
Sunrise. That's usually the time I have the lake and the campsite all to myself.
missmolly 07/01/2012 11:10AM
Here's a sunset with canoe photo.

I would have to say sunrise. Sunsets are easy. It takes effort to make the sunrise. But both can make great pictures.
LuvMyBell 07/01/2012 08:49AM
Sunset is my favorite. Time to reflect on the great day that just past.

Sunrise is a close second because of the anticipation of what's to come.

Upon further reflection........they are both great as long as I'm outdoors somewhere.
Savage Voyageur 07/01/2012 08:32AM
I did make it up for this sunrise picture on Seagull lake...
bhouse46 07/01/2012 08:27AM
Rise, but both are gifts to enjoy. Moonrise is my favorite, though.

Nothing wrong with a gorgeous sunset, either, though. :-)"

I could not have said it better myself. Sunrise for sure! It think it is the best part of the day!

rise-start of another day!
Goldenbadger 07/01/2012 06:21AM
Though I love both, I'm definitely a sunrise girl. Dawn is my favorite time of day. as soon as the sky starts to lighten and the birds are singing, I'm awake. It's so peaceful and beautiful at that time of day. And the fishing is usually awesome in the morning. There's nothing better than sitting at a campsite greeting the sun with a fresh cup of coffee. I always get impatient waiting for everyone else to wake up.
bapabear 07/01/2012 06:11AM
I'm usually up looking for a decent sunrise and have seen plenty but...

I prefer the end of day.
