There is a bass fishing technique called jiggerpole. It is a similar setup and it works . I fish this way many times with good results. Google it and see what you think. ~JOE~

quote gutmon: "I've always thought that a person could catch Pike in Canada on a 6" piece of yellow poly rope with a couple of treble hooks attached."

Ain't that the truth! I love taking a rookie up north, reaching the lake, casting and saying, "Watch this."

Interesting idea, a rapala being chased by a flashy lure could be the ticket.

My wife has some earrings tat are a perfect Colorado Blade shape...always wondered.

Couple years ago I was bored after dinner so I started picking through my plastic graveyard with a bic lighter. Took a 3" section of a senko and added a grub/twister....voila: The Wallymoto. Caught some good fish on it the next day.

Does this really work?

Take an old rapala, take off the hooks, attach a leader to the rear end and then hook up some big ugly loud and flashy lure. Like a large killer mepps or a dare devil spoon.

From what I have heard the big pike see a little fish being chased by a medium fish then try to eat both- I understand this is a musky trick. I am willing to give it try because I have alot of beaten up rapala that need a new job description. I also have alot of big ugly loud and flashy lures.
