I just got back from Gander Mountain. They have packages of vacuum sealed leaches. Of course they have the disclaimer on the front-

NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION

I had to laugh- I'm in LA right now and noticed this sign posted everywhere throughout the hotel. The clear message- "Beware of Everything!"

Sorry- will have to add photo later

One of my favorite lines from Not Necessarily the News was:

"The American Standards Association has designated that anything numbering over 1 Billion will now be referred to as a s#itload."

Yup, that'll do the trick.

Is this what you are looking for?

Non-lead sinkers

Going unleaded certainly seems like the right thing to do...

quote tonyyarusso: "On that note, I've picked up a lot of non-lead jigs and large sinkers lately, but haven't found a good non-lead combo pack of assorted small to medium sinkers. (You know, the little 4-8 compartment rotating plastic thingies.) Anyone know a store that carries one?"
Just a personal comment- I hate those rotating split shot dispensers. Am I the only one to struggle with it because of sand in the vaseline?

I still have lead jigs but have been purchasing non-lead sinkers for years now. It started with bullet/texas rig sinkers but I've been phasing out my split shots as well.

In terms of conservation and ethics, ditch the lead. One jig will kill a loon, and I'm sure other critters. Northland tackle sells quality non-lead jigs in a variety of sizes and colors. They work well.

Just the spoon? So I can still eat the hooks?"

I want to know if I can still eat my cheerios with my Dare Devyl spoon that contains lead. If not, I'll have to start packing in a real spoon.
