I actually use the blade baits mostly for lakers, but they work very well for smallies on deep humps.

Ingvald	05/16/2012 03:07PM I'll bring 5 trays of lures this year. One for plastics, one for jigs, bobbers, spoons, and spinners, one for crankbaits, and two for all my son's lures. There will be inevitable duplication with my son's stuff but I want him fishing with his lures so he can catch fish and create memories from his own tackle box.

BearBrown	05/16/2012 03:13AM You guys take a lot more gear than I do... I just feel like I end up using so little of what I have taken along in the past that I par things down a lot now. Always bring extra blue and silver and black and silver original rapalas though. They catch fish. Hard to find a species of fish they wont catch either.

TeamTuna06	05/11/2012 04:26PM Spent some time today adding a few and taking a few out from last year...finally about ready to go. Heading out early June with a primary target of smallmouth bass...hence the excessive amount of topwaters! I'll also be bringing in some leeches for walleyes...it'll be the first time I've used leeches.

LOL " I totally agree with you on Powerbait over gulp, I much prefer Powerbait .

toddhunter	04/20/2012 12:51PM I took a lot more on my first trip than I do now. The less I bring, the less I carry. I'll be winnowing it down until the day i leave, and enjoying every minute.

I really should be able to get away with no more than 3 of each: jerkbaits, shad raps, topwaters, lipless crankbaits, spinnerbaits, in-line spinners, spoons, then maybe 1 or 2 chatterbaits, swim baits and some miscellaneous. Also 1 or 2 bags of Zeros, Zulus, Grubs, Tubes, finesse worms, Gulp leeches, 10 or 12 jigs, a variety of hooks, snaps, and weights, and a couple of leaders. 3 or 4 reels, 2 rods, spare spools, extra line. I might bring a float, but I don't usually use live bait. I also will bring crappie size tubes and jigs fwiw.

" only spinning lures I use are inline (mepps are hidden in there somewhere, you can see the buck tail sticking out on one of them) and when I make a harness with blades. Also, only pack in white mr twisters which I will just tie to the outside of the tackle box with my stringer.
