I say camp on Kenny because the Bird lake fire in 95 really destroyed all the good sites on the falls chain. There are several sites that are alright, mostly between bald rock and little falls, but Kenny has nice sites.

Everything i've mentioned includes getting a tow.

Thanks. I have always gone in on Nym. The route you suggests sounds great.

Why "only camp on Kenny"?

Is the trip/timing you suggest with our w/o a tow?

Thanks

Well, if you have that little time I would head up the Falls Chain.

If you get an early tow you could make Kawnipi in a VERY long day. But that time of year I would take two days.

You don't want to camp anywhere in the Fallschain other than Kenny Lake.

Yes, you need permits after labor day.

I would go Cache bay to Kenny on day one, then spend two days on Kawnipi ( head to the north end, it's stunning and the sites are all ten star) Then head back the way you came and spend the last night on either Saganagons or Cache Bay.

The island next to Janice at the ranger station has a nice site on it.

I am planning a solo trip during the first week of Sept.

Is it true that you no longer need park permits after Labor day?

I am thinking of a 3-5 day trip. I would like to get to Kawnipi. Any route suggestions?

Thanks
