03/07/2012 11:36AM Moose, I would talk forever about all you have to offer with BW fly fishing knowledge. I'm going to be up in Ely May 27th/28th, so I will plan on stopping by one of those day and I hope to see you there. I'll bring in my big box of flies for suggestions on improving my flies, as well as which ones I may want to leave behind. I just got my new Ross CLA 4 7-9wt reel w/ extra spool with a clauser floatin line and a full sink generation 3 on the spare. I can't tell you how pumped I am to be going, and if I wasn't tied down I would chat you up about becoming a full time guide or something! |

03/04/2012 09:28PM I had a scuba diver tying fish on your line that day!! :) I did terrible Saturday. My son and his friends were up and caught 2 eight pounders, and 2 fives. I'm heading out again in the morning, and putting on the fake nose, mustache, and glasses so you can't find me! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!! |

03/01/2012 09:37PM You were the one I had in mind when I mentioned that some of the guides do get into fly fishing. This is one of the many reasons I question your sanity on a regular basis! :) We have about 80-100 different varieties of flys on hand in the summer, but that is a very small percentage of our tackle. Most bait and tackle shops in the area have far less than that. |

We have a large selection of fly at our place and I would say that over half of my trips are now guided fly fishing trips along with being a FFF certified instructor I give quite a few lessons during the summer. Troutslayer4 feel free to contact me for flyfishing info. |

03/01/2012 03:01PM No one "specializes" in fly fishing, though most shops have some on hand. Ely is not an area that is very big into fly fishing, though some of the guides do so on a limited basis. |
