The page's founder is posting pics there daily and the membership is growing so you might find it worthwhile to visit it.

Zulu	02/26/2012 07:21PM Thanks for the link to Historic Basswood sites burntsider. It is very interesting. I am glad someone is keeping the history of the area alive. I liked the photo of that double decker houseboat. The 2006 Ely Summer Times had a great feature on historic Basswood Lake including photos and a map naming and identifying where all the resorts used to be. Basswood Lake and the resorters and fishing guides that worked there are often featured on the radio show "End of the road ventures" on WELY too. It is very interesting listening to the people recall what life was like for them back then.
