I will be fishing a couple lakes about 15 miles north of Ely end of May and early part of June. I know that ice out is an important factor in fish behavior and I am curious about previous data gathered on ice out around this area. Has anyone documented the normal ice out dates for BWCA lakes? I am also curious about how long it takes for walleye activity to decline following ice out?
