76er	07/18/2011 10:05PM I took hwy 1 from the Tomahawk Road southeast to hwy 2. No sign of construction yet. Maybe next week they will start... maybe.
inspector13	07/18/2011 08:40AM I took the road from Ely all the way to Hwy 61 last Friday. No work is going on in that stretch.

UncleMoose	07/08/2011 04:48PM Nope. Very little sign that they're even going to begin anytime soon. It's currently a clear shot all the way from Lake Superior to Ely.
76er	07/08/2011 08:39AM Has the road construction on HWY 1 between Birch Lake and HWY 2 started yet? It was scheduled to start June 30th but my guess is the State shutdown has impacted that project.
