Nope, not the size of Burntside or Shags, but a real lake. Johnson Lake was out last week already. Several on the verge, at least they were, until today's weather.

Heading out for a nice long walk in the snow (last major one of the season?) now.

Must have been a large puddle about the size of 1st Lake???????

September 30, 1859, Abraham Lincoln in an address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society in Milwaukee:

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!

I am sooooooo OVER this mess!!! I want my garden!!! I want to sail!!! I want to wear shorts and sandles!!! Where the hell is the SUN!!! I want to get a sunburn!! I need to sweat, swim in a lake, smell fresh cut grass, eat hot tomatoes out of the garden, drink a cool gin and tonic on a hot day, hear music at a street festival, ride my bike along the lake front!!! We only have a small window in the midwest to recharge for the next coming winter- this SUCKS!!!

...pheeeewww... temper tantrum over. Back to the muddy, clammy, dreary day-

I think I'll step outside, catch a few rays, and watch the grass grow.

"It is 2:19 am and 36 degrees so why" are you looking out the window?

I am hoping for more snow for you guys - I have always wanted to slide my canoe on some of the portages for our first trip of the year - never been enough snow before. Maybe this year I can cross that off my list of things to do.

It's been a long winter. For your safety, I suggest you SHUT THE HELL UP.

I Hear you Lynn! It is getting really old! We need some serious sunshine & soon!
Also, if I hear any of you complaining about the heat in a couple of months I am going to seriously do you bodily harm!:)
BWPaddler 04/27/2011 10:18AM
Must be below 32 where the flakes are made and they are hardy fellas, not bothered by temperature "rules"...

Too crazy!
mocha 04/27/2011 10:16AM
if this was Christmas day i'd be ecstatic! it's coming down pretty steady, at least it's not as cold and windy as yesterday. there are mallards here already, obviously they misread the forecast.
The Great Outdoors 04/27/2011 09:42AM
No snow at Burntside Lynn, maybe it's dandruff:)
